Bee Box!

This probably would be best on a completely staged television event such as a special where there is no live audience incase of any accidents that could harm an audience member or another act. We start with the simple packing case and a curtain to hide. I want to address those who say you can't do an act behind a curtain anymore.  They are speaking about what they can't do it doesn't mean that you can't do it.  Many acts are in fact doing it right now. Do not limit yourself to only behind a curtain or never behind a curtain, picking or not picking and these absurd traps some artist fall into.  Use every trick in the book and your advantages increase tenfold.
This packing stage needs to be done on a special pedestal base and or some specially made base, one designed just for this.
Now in presenting this concept I don't expect anyone to build this exactly as I am saying.  Every illusion builder or artist will have their own ideas this is just the theoretical concept.
This requires a second box.  I personally would make a box with four side’s plexi glass and the top and bottom made from wood.  My own reason would be because I can put a trap in wood easier.  The packing case must fit in this box and I think it should be hoisted up and lowered in.
This is an illusion the only inspection will be of the packing case while being nailed in and this must be controlled.
The cabinet that will cover the box will be on the platform.   I suggest no top on the cabinet so you can lower the box or a cabinet that comes down after with a rigging above the platform.
Once you make it you will need a trap on the floor of each box and the platform.  Each one gets smaller so you can open them in.
Since there will be no after the act inspection you won't eve have to close the traps.  Once you get out  you open the front of your cabinet and the audiences will  see the boxes still lock.  Traps coming into the packing case will be hidden.
Now here is the shocking twist to this.  Once the packing case is in the second box you have a Bee keeper drop a hornets nest in between the boxes and then seal the lid of the outer box.
From the audiences point of view you are surrounded by hornets.  This would be absolutely frightening to many.
As the curtains are opened the audience will see both boxes still locked and  nailed  together surrounded by some angry hornets and you free and unharmed with a real reputation builder to add to your show credits.
Just visualize how this will look to an audience.  Those in the audience who suffer from “Apiphobie” will add to the audience excitement when they leave or have a fit while you are performing.  People getting excited tend to cause others to get excited.
I saw a hornet from Japan on line.  It was in the palm of a hand with the wings spread, I believe it was preserved and it was quite large and impressive.  It stated that being stun was like having a nail driven into the leg.
I don't think I should have to say that this is just for professionals because if that is not obvious you need a keeper. But just for the record this is only for professionals and if mistakes were made their could be injury to anyone involved.
The government has people who can control the flight of some insects. They plan to use them as spies with small cameras and as assassins that can be sent behind enemy lines or anywhere else to kill.
They also have the ability to make a virus to kill only one person the intended mark.  The entire population could be infected but only one person would die the target.
This is the world young artist are coming into and some how they must expand their art into a new era that constantly comes.  Perhaps one day an artist will be able to control a whole swarm of bees.
If you are going to do this don't forget to call your mom to have her watch.
