Before Penn & Teller Carnival of Illusion shares lecture on magic history

PENN & TELLER'S "WARM-UP BAND" University of Arizona's UA Presents invited us to share a pre-show performance and lecture titled "Seedy Stories of Magical History; from street, To Stage, TO STARDOM!" We've compiled tales of some of the most interesting magicians and we'll discuss how magic left the realm of street performing and moved to the high society parlours of Europe before hitting the roads in America on the Chautauqua circuit to finally arriving on the stages across America. Friday, February 24th at 7PM.

Alfred Hitchcock's 39 Steps at Arizona Theatre Company

ADD THIS TO YOUR "THINGS TO DO" Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have… The 39 Steps, a fast-paced tale of an ordinary man on an extraordinarily adventure. The madness begins when a gentleman starts his evening at the theatre and ends the night with a dead body in his lap. See what happens as the Arizona Theatre Company presents Broadway's Tony-winning comedy which proves that anything the movies can do, the theatre can do... more hilariously! "Absurdly enjoyable" – The New York Times. Begins January 14 in Tucson and February 9th in Phoenix.
